1.     To allow Councils to designate funds to their local charities
2.     To support the statewide campaigns such as Special Olympics, Frontline Faith, Ultrasound Initiatives, Wheelchair Fund, Military Chaplain’s Scholarship, Emergency Relief Fund, Veterans Programs, etc.

Raffle tickets were distributed to Councils or DDs at the July Officers’ Meetings in Lilburn or Warner Robbins; or sent UPS if you didn’t attend the meeting.

Council proceeds are based on a sliding scale:

Sell $200 in tickets – Council will receive 50 % for their designated Charity/ Charities.
Sell $500 in tickets – Council will receive 55 % for their designated Charity/Charities.
Sell $750 in tickets - Council will receive 60 % for their designated Charity/Charities.
Sell $1000 in tickets- Council will receive 65 % for their designated Charity/Charities.

The individual members or Councils if individuals are not identified, who sell the winning tickets, will receive 10% of that prize for their efforts.

ALL ticket stubs, checks, and Report Forms need to be submitted to the State Charities Raffle Chairman or brought to the convention.  Please do NOT send cash!  COUNCIL checks should be made out to the Knights of Columbus Charities of Georgia (KCCG). Please have ticket purchases paid to your Council and use a COUNCIL CHECK to remit with tickets payable to KCCG.

The Raffle drawing will be held at the GA State Convention Banquet.

The Charities that will benefit directly from the Charity Raffle through the KCCG will be determined as we get closer to the convention.

When submitting your tickets, you MUST include the Charities Designation Report Form with your local charity or charities designated.  PLEASE indicate the charity’s Federal Tax ID number.  Knights of Columbus Charities of Georgia will handle the dispersing of all checks, which will be sent to the Councils for presentation to their designated charities.

The ticket stubs, checks (from your Council), and Report form can be sent at any time to me below. UPS is preferred over USPS due to US Postal Regulations.  PLEASE CHECK THE TICKETS BEFORE SUBMITTING THEM.  Each ticket needs (and is legible please):  Buyers’ NAME, Buyer’s PHONE NUMBER, and Selling COUNCIL #.
