We are so fortunate to have in our Church not only a celebration for the day of Easter but a Season of Easter. It is a joyous time in the life of the Church. Yes, even joy in the midst of so much turmoil and upheaval in our world and society. We can only think in sadness about the war in the Ukraine. But the Resurrection is the promise that in the end nothing can permanently defeat us. That all sin, death, darkness, war, violence will be overcome. The Easter Season is a wonderful time for the Knights to gather for the Annual Conven-tion. The Knights are a group which gives so much hope in this unstable world. Hope is the outcome of the Resurrection. In your active charity with so many projects, you supply many with some hope in their lives. In fact, as I understand it, the Knights are involved with helping with Ukrainian refugees. But one does not have to go across the world to find the Knights at work. The Knights have done so much right here in the State of Georgia. You have done so much for us here at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit especially with your gift from Pennies from Heaven. We thank you for all you do. It is my prayer, and the prayer of all the monks here, that the Knights will continue to flourish as a vital organization in the Church. That your brotherhood will grow, that your outreach will grow to all those with special needs. I sincerely regret not being able to attend the 2022 convention in person this year, but please be assured of my prayers that your gathering will be full of many graces and blessings!
