b'Brother Knights, It is so good to be back here with you on beautiful Jekyll Island for our 120th Annual Meeting and Convention.Im looking forward to catching up with many of you and meeting some of you for the first time. Please plan to stop by our Agency hospitality suite over the weekend for a visit with us.Our team of Field Agents have been working diligently over the last year to help protect your members and their families. Thank you for your continued support and promotion of our great Insurance program!Your Georgia Field Agents have also done a good job in working with you in recruiting new members, specifically in the E-membership campaign. I would especially like to recognize Field Agent, Steven Zahradka for his effort. Ste-ven is on track to bringing in 20 new members this fraternal year.As a combined force, Knights of Columbus Field Agents have also protected Catholic families with $7.4 billion in new insurance. We now have more than $116 billion of insurance in force protecting Catholic families in the US and Canada.Last year, we paid more than $524 million in death benefits, of which approximately $35 million was related to COVID.Last year, we stepped up with more than $150 million in donations. And we stepped forward with more than 47 million hours of hands-on volunteer service.As you know, our insurance program funds so many great charities and initiatives around the world. Here is just few that I would like to mention:Special Olympics: We donated more than $3.5 million and nearly half a million volunteer hours to Special Olympics. Our efforts have helped Special Olympics bounce back from the crisis due to Covid.Ultrasound Initiative:It continues to grow and save countless unborn lives. Since 2009, the Order has placed more than 1,500 life-saving machines in pregnancy resource centers (and almost 50 here in Georgia!) Global Wheelchair Mission: We have now surpassed 100,000 wheelchairs donated around the world.I am especially proud to support The Knights of Columbus Charities of Georgia.
