b'RAYMOND G. LEVREAULTASSOCIATE STATE CHAPLAINMy brother Knights and families, Congratulations to our State Knights of Columbus members and fami-lies as we gather in celebration of the 119th Annual Georgia State Convention.Peace and Blessings to all!I know from my experience as a Pastor and individual how difficult this past year has been. I know that at times, putting your head in the sand and waiting for things to pass would be the safe way to deal with it, but the work of the Church and the work of the Knights must go forward.During this pandemic year, we were reminded of another time when things were bad for the Church and the people of God during the late 1800s, when Fr. McGivney, at times may have wanted to put his head in the sand and wait until things passed and life got better, but he didnt. Fr. McGivney this year shines as an example that Gods will, Gods work and Gods desires for us and His people should always be carried out in good and bad times. His elevation by the Church to be recognized as Blessed Mi-chael J. McGivney is perhaps the motivation we need to get ourselves up and moving to do the same type of work that he did in the late 1800s when people were in need.People today are still in need!Physically, emotionally, mentally, educationally and spiritually! We as Christians, we as Knights must continue the call of Christ to minis-ter and reach out to those in need as Blessed McGivney did then and as we should be doing now, not letting anything get in the way! Proverbs 16:3Entrust your works to the Lord, and your plans will succeed! My dear friends of the Knights, I want to personally thank the State Officers and the District Deputies and the Grand Knights throughout the State and all who strive to continue that work begun so many years ago by Blessed McGivneythat work that continues to make life better for the least among us! Peace & Blessings!Be assured of my prayers!Rev. Raymond G. Levreault, V.FAssociate State Chaplain25'
