A 501 (c) (3) Organization Established by the Georgia State Council to provide fiduciary oversight of funds donated insupport of Knights of Columbus charitable programs within the state of Georgia. Of the more than a dozen charities for which we administer donations, two stand out as integral to the mission of the Culture of Life, one of our main tenets. Since the first ultrasound in the Order was placed in 2009 in Dalton GA,Georgia Knights have donated 37 systems to Pregnancy Resource Centers. In Fraternal Years 2019-20 and 2020-21, FIVE ultrasound systems were placed in local PRCs by Councils 12942, 11746, 13204, 13437, and 1939. Council 11981 was also instrumental in placing an ultrasound in Uganda.Georgia is proud to be one of the leading States in this program, which, Order-wide, has delivered 1,367systems to date.It is estimated that between 80% and 95% of abortion-minded women that see theirultrasound images and hear a heartbeat, choose LIFE! These systems will save thousands of precious lives!CTB, launched in 2019 to assist with unmet needs of families that choose LIFE over abortion.In early 2020, four PRCs were chosen around the State to receive stipends of $250 per month for a year, totaling $3,000 each, for a combined total of $12,000.These funds, raised by local Councils and other generous donors, helped to offsetexpenses such as pre-natal care, groceries, gas, maternity and baby supplies for: The Womens Enrichment Center, Dalton, site of the Orders first Ultrasound placement Pregnancy Aid Center, Roswell, the only Catholic PRC in the Archdiocese Savannah Care Center, Savannah, where we placed the first 3D/4D machine in the Diocese Butts County Pregnancy Resource Center, Jackson, home of State Deputy, Mark HofmannWe are also working to establish a network of pro bono attorneys to assist families with thePAUL ZOCK, State Health Services Chairman (706) 313beautiful option of adoption!
