b'Knights of Columbus Georgia State CouncilResolution GA21-10WHEREAS: In August 1995, Franciscan Father Gregory John Hartmeyer was appointed pastor of St. Philip Benizi Parish in Jonesboro, Georgia, and became pastor of St. John Vianney Parish in Lithia Springs in July 2010, and WHEREAS, On July 19, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI appointed Father Gregory John Hartmeyer, Bishop of the Diocese of Savannah, and WHEREAS, On October 18, 2011, at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Savannah, Georgia, he was consecrated as the fourteenth Bishop of Savannah, and WHEREAS, Bishop Hartmeyer has been a loyal steadfast supporter of the Knights of Columbus and the Georgia State Council, and is a Brother Fourth Degree Sir Knight, and WHEREAS, His Excellency continually supports the Annual Meetings of the Georgia State Council, and the Annual Supreme Conventions with the Georgia delegation, andWHEREAS, On March 5, 2020, Our Holy Father, Pope Francis appointed His Excellency, Bishop Gregory John Hartmeyer, Archbishop of Atlanta, therefore let it be RESOLVED, That all Georgia Knights of Columbus do hereby express their sincere appreciation and thanks to his Excellency, Most Reverend Gregory Hartmeyer, for his leadership and support throughout both Diocese of Georgia.This resolution was recommended by the unanimous vote of the Georgia State Council Executive Committee at its meeting on April 5, 2021Respectfully submitted:Attested: Mark W.
