Federico was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 2, 1933, and WHEREAS:Brother Federico was a loving and dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, friend, and Knight of Columbus, and WHEREAS:Brother Federico was married to the love of his life, Sallie Resor, for 50 years from 1954 to her passing in 2004, and WHEREAS:Brother Federico was a patriot, serving the nation in the United States Air Force, and WHEREAS:Brother Federico was a valued member of St. John Catholic Church in Valdosta, Georgia, formany years, serving on the office staff, as an electrician and soundman, as a sacristan andplaying Santa Claus for children at school, and WHEREAS:Brother Federico was a dedicated Knight of Columbus in Fr. John Kennedy Council 4913, withservice as Grand Knight, District Deputy, State Deputy, and Master of the Fourth Degree, WHEREAS:As District Deputy in 1985, Charles P. Federico received the Nicholas J. Camerio MemorialAward as the outstanding District Deputy in the Savannah Diocese, andWHEREAS:Under the leadership of State Deputy Charles P. Federico, from July 1, 1991 to June 30, 1993the jurisdiction of Georgia added eight new councils and grew by 11%, and WHEREAS:Brother Charles P. Federico passed from this life to his eternal reward since this body last met,therefore let it be RESOLVED: That the Georgia State Council of the Knights of Columbus offers condolences to the family of Past State Deputy Charles P. Federico, and offers this prayer: Heavenly Father, receive your servant Charles into your Glory and Presence.
