b'Knights of Columbus Georgia State CouncilResolution GA20-20WHEREAS: Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) presents a worldwide pandemic affecting all people at every stage of life, andWHEREAS: Covid-19 is devastating many populations physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and WHEREAS: Covid-19 has been defining new ways of life and curtailing many activities, causing stress on the people on the margins of society, and pushing many into poverty, andWHEREAS: Covid-19 has placed undue burden on an overworked healthcare system, where healthcare workers have been performing Herculean tasks with minimal supplies, understaffed, and exhausted, and WHEREAS: Covid-19 has placed a burden on the distribution networks of food, goods, and services, placing workers unused to health risk in harms way, WHEREAS: Covid-19 has placed many people into isolation or semi-isolation and caused fear, anxiety, and loneliness, and WHEREAS: Covid-19 does not have a definitive end time, and can continue the demoralization of ourselves and our neighbors, be itRESOLVED: That the Georgia State Council of the Knights of Columbus offer our sincerest thanks, continued prayers, and material support to the healthcare workers and others who at great peril to themselves have continued to serve their fellow man: FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Knights of Columbus of Georgia will choose to be steadfast in their beliefs, staunch in their resolve to assist their fellow man, forthcoming with returns to normal at the first opportunity, and shall remember, Her Rosary in our hands, in our pockets, going where we go! The salutation Hail Mary ever on our lips! Who can we not conquer, what victories can we not achieve, with Mary on our side!
