This year we had 50 programs submitted for judging. All the submissions were electronically for the first time. The judging was also handled electronically.LIFEFirst Place: Council 14425, Gifts to Homeless Veterans, WylieStokes Grand Knight.To select an agency where the K of C council, church andcommunity could get involved in supporting the VeteransHomeless Shelter with Gifts of Donations, Clothing and Per- sonal toiletry items, quarterly and at Christmas.First runner up: Council 13808, March for Life Interdenominational, Mark Holihan Grand Knight.The Council has supported the March for life for many years.With pro-life signs in front of the church in con cert with the march in Washington DC. In 2020 it was decid- ed to expand the effort to get other likeminded churchesinvolved with the march. The dinner was held, and the proceeds went to thefamily.First runner up: Council 11458, 25th Anniversary Celebration.Jim Brazeale Grand Knight.The Council decided to celebrate their 25th anniversary byrecognizing both present and past members, Grand Knightsand family. They also invited the wives of deceased member. Second runner up: Council 11340, The Story of the Candy Cane.Ken Boone Grand Knight.The Story of the Candy Cane is to provide a religious mean- ing to an item commonly considered secular while providinga quiet family moment during the busy Christmas season.CommunityFAITH First place: Council 14181, Annual Parish Flea Market, Jack Planchard Grand Knight.First Place: Council 16356, Keep Naval Submarine Base Good Samaritan Church has held an annual parish flea mar- Kings Bay, GA. This annual event brings the council members and the parish,and community together in a fun and sociable activity.Second Runner up: Council 11458, Faith and Sharing Disabilities Mass.Brother Stephen Eubanks asked the council to help the Par-Second runner up. The Corporal Works of Mercy - feed the hungry.
